Web/API pentesting
Web/API penetration testing for fintech
Scope for authorization, payment state and business logic. Testing with synthetic data, clear limits and remediation evidence.
Prioritize workflows, not just endpoints
A fintech assessment starts with what each identity can read or change. Balances, transactions, beneficiaries, approvals and account recovery have different consequences. We agree on workflows and risks before testing, without promising universal coverage.
Scenarios to discuss during scoping
Examples: replay a transfer request; reorder confirmation and cancellation; try approving an operation with a lower-privilege role; change another account’s identifier; verify retries and limits. These are hypotheses to test using authorized access and test funds. Depth depends on the environment and authorized integrations.
Limits that protect operations
Processors, banks and third-party APIs are not automatically in scope. We use synthetic data and environments appropriate for the agreed tests. Actions with operational risk require specific authorization, stop conditions and an accountable contact. We do not promise zero disruption.
Reporting and remediation evidence
Each finding must separate observation from inference: unauthorized reading does not by itself prove the ability to transfer funds. We document prerequisites, demonstrated impact and limitations. Retesting verifies fixes for agreed scenarios. A pentest is not regulatory certification: requirements depend on the entity, jurisdiction and activity.
Next step
Use the readiness matrix, review the synthetic report and tell us which workflow needs assessment, without sending financial data or credentials.
Straight answers
What is agreed before testing?
- Assets, roles, permissions, limitations, window, deliverables and retest terms.
Is this a certification?
- No. The report describes evidence within scope, not overall compliance or guaranteed security.
How do I start?
- Share non-sensitive context through the form. Do not send credentials.
Time to test your doors?
Tell us what needs validating. We answer with proposed scope, not a brochure.
